I am also getting kicked since the 30th of March, after pb updated. I am also running Vista 64 Bit. I get kicked for "Losing Key Packets (k)ffab"
I submitted a ticket to punkbuster and their replay was less than desirable.
Here is what I sent them...
"After lastnight's pb update, I keep getting kicked from servers as soon as I join. "Losing Key Packets" kffab. I tried deleting pb and re-installing it, I tried re-installing Americas Army. Nothing works. I am running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit Operating system and I run the game as administrator."
Here is what they sent back...
"Note #2: To run PunkBuster under Windows Vista you will need to run the game as an administrator. To do this, select the original game executable and right click it. Select "Properties", then the "Compatibility" tab. From that tab, check the box labeled "Run this program as an Administrator" and click OK. You need to follow these steps, even when you are logged in as admin, else the game will be started in user mode.
We are currently exploring ways to extend PunkBuster to work with Vista without requiring users to run as an administrator.
If you still have issues running the game under Windows Vista, please make a new note with as much information as possible (including the PunkBuster kick reason after being kicked from a server).
If you use a game launching program, like ASE or XFire, please use the same shortcut as explained above, otherwise the game will not be launched with Administrator privileges resulting in an "Inadequate O/S Privileges" kick.
For those playing a game with a PunkBuster client version equal or higher than v1.500 we're running an open beta test at the moment. Other games will follow so please be patient. Please go to the following page and try our new Punkbuster service:
